MOSCOW, Mar 26 (PRIME) -- The Russian government is ready to approve Novatek’s project of a floating power plant running on liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a power source for the Baimsky GOK ore-dressing plant owned by KAZ Minerals, business daily Kommersant reported on Thursday, citing sources.
"The copper and gold project needs a total of up to 350 megawatts of new generation, including a capacity reserve," the newspaper said.
The construction costs will be covered from payments of consumers in the European part of Russia and Siberia, and construction of the power lines will be paid from state budget.
